The APPLICATION DEADLINE – March 15th of each year OBJECTIVE The objective of this scholarship is to provide assistance to an individual enrolled in conservation or a conservation related curriculum at a two-year or four-year accredited institution of higher education. AMOUNT The amount of the scholarship is $500.00. ELIGIBILITY Applicant must: A) Have demonstrated integrity, ability, and competence in work(paid or volunteer) and possess skills gained through training or experience. B) Show interest in a natural resource related field. C) Have successfully completed at least 1 year at a 2-year accredited college or 2 years at a 4-year accredited college. D) Have accumulated a grade point average of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. E) Be working toward an AS or AAS at a 2-year college or a BS at a 4-year college in the natural resources area. (natural resources management, biology, plant science, soils, water quality, geology, agro-forestry, agricultural or civil engineering, or other majors involved in soil and water conservation) Previous employment in a natural resource conservation area is not required but is highly desirable. applications to be postmarked is July 1st of each year.
