Under-graduate scholarship application

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this scholarship is to provide assistance to an individual enrolled in conservation or a conservation related curriculum at a two-year or four-year accredited institution of higher education in North Dakota.

AMOUNT

The amount of this scholarship is $1,000.00.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicant must:

A)    Have demonstrated integrity, ability, and competence in work(paid or volunteer) and possess skills gained through training or experience.

B)     Show interest in a natural resource related field.

C)    Have successfully completed at least 1 year at a 2-year accredited college or 2 years at a 4-year accredited college.

D)    Have accumulated a grade point average of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

E)     Be working toward an AS or AAS at a 2-year college or a BS at a 4-year college in the natural resources area.  (natural resources management, biology, plant science, soils, water quality, geology, agro-forestry, agricultural or civil engineering, or other majors involved in soil and water conservation)

Previous employment in a natural resource conservation position is not required but is highly desirable.

APPLICATIONS

Application forms are also available from your department’s main office, from your advisor or from your scholarship office.

The deadline for completed applications to be postmarked is June 30th of each year.  Completed applications should be sent to: Mark A. If you are unable to obtain an application form at your school, a form may be obtained by writing to the address noted above or call (701) 516-4235.

AWARD

The scholarship recipient will be notified of the award by August 1st of each year .  The presentation of the award will be made at a time to be determined.
